Remodelling a 5-bedroom Home into a Vibrant Family Retreat in Prestbury
A complete remodel and redesign of a 5-bedroom home in Prestbury Cheshire to create a luxurious yet comfortable family home. Rich mauve tones and high-end finishes were incorporated throughout to cultivate warmth and elegance. The whimsical imagination room and state-of-the-art cinema room cater to family entertainment and quality time.
The result is a vibrant, bespoke interior that reflects the homeowner’s personality and lifestyle.
Following a successful design transformation of a former family home, the client asked Emmie B Interiors to work with them again to remodel and redesign their newly acquired 5-bedroom detached home in Prestbury, Cheshire.
The overall aesthetic would be luxurious yet homely, with spaces designed for entertaining and accommodating grandchildren. The client wanted to inject personality, luxury and functionality into the space and use rich mauve tones to exude elegance, and warmth.
Working closely with architects and contractors, our interior designers at Emmie B fully remodelled the ground floor, including the installation of a sweeping, undulating staircase with chrome balustrade to give the home a wow-factor.

EXTERIOR UPGRADES
In addition to reinventing the interior, our designers improved the exterior of the property. We assisted in the selection of new window frames and gutters to provide definition against the rendered exterior walls. Anthracite drainpipes and facia boards were specified to match the window framing and contribute to the home’s modern aesthetic.
Our expertise in colour, materials and finishes ensured the exterior spaces worked cohesively with the interior to meet the clients’ vision of a luxury family home. Every exterior detail was thoughtfully considered to elevate the home’s curb appeal and ensure it was easy to maintain in the future.
We selected high-end carpets and flooring to unify the new kitchen, living and dining areas. Careful coordination of tiles, paint colours, wallpaper and finishes tied the whole space together seamlessly.
Luxurious Bedrooms
Beyond the open-plan living space, we transformed the five bedrooms with high-end furniture, accessories, lighting, and window dressings. The master suite comprises a very spacious bedroom with living space looking out into the beautifully cared for garden, dressing room, vanity area and a spa-like bathroom.
State-of-the-art Designer Kitchen
The stunning new Diane Berry kitchen is the heart of the home. The space allowed for a large kitchen island, top-of-the-range Miele appliances and wine fridge, and plenty of storage solutions. Nearby, the living area features statement lighting and plush furniture in moody hues.
Whimsical Imagination Room & Cinema Room
For the grandchildren, we created a whimsical imagination room focused on crafts and play. It has custom cabinetry, including a made-to-measure desk for wrapping presents. The room can be accessed through a games den or through a secret door in the granddaughter’s bedroom.
The garage has been converted to a cinema room, bringing entertainment to a new level, with leather reclining cinema seats, LED ceiling starlight and pathway lighting on the floor for the ultimate cinema-style experience.
We also created a spacious sauna room with walk-in shower and remote-controlled heating.
The clients are thrilled with their new remodelled home that has been reimagined from top to bottom. By taking them out of their neutral comfort zone, we fulfilled their dreams of a luxurious, multi-generational home perfect for making memories.
